Ask For Help

If you find yourself in a workout rut – ask for help!

There are plenty of resources available to you, whether it’s a celebrity trainer, a trainer at the gym, a friend, etc. It starts by asking for help! That could mean pulling up a website or blog, picking up a book, or asking someone at the gym.

If you currently have a membership to a gym, ask to talk to someone. Sometimes it may cost a little extra, but that is why they are there. Ask for an evaluation, and splurge on a few training sessions. Talk to them, ask all the questions you can think of – then use what you have learned, and all the things they have told you as ammo in the gym.

For Example

  • If your goal is weight loss, ask them about the most effective ways to burn calories
  • If your goal is strength gains, ask them what exercises/repetition ranges are going to facilitate the best strength gains
  • Ask about how many days a week are going to be best for your individual workout needs
  • Ask what kinds of foods are going to be most beneficial to your workout goals
